Febrero está ligado, tradicionalmente, en Madrid a la celebración de ARCO. Aunque este año la principal feria de arte de nuestro país cumple 40 años, tiene previsto su celebración del 7 al 11 de julio debido a la situación que atravesamos con el COVID.
En cuanto a las opciones de poder celebrar o no los 40 años de ARCO en una feria presencial, comenta su directora Maribel López: «Nos estamos tomando un plazo para decidir. No queremos precipitar nada. Estamos todos esperando a ver si mejora la situación». Eso sí, asegura que, en caso de que haya que posponer la feria presencial, en principio ya no se celebraría hasta 2022.
Si finalmente la celebración fuese online, ya están trabajando en un proyecto con las galerías, que quieren lanzar en marzo. Aún están en desarrollando porque tecnológicamente es muy sofisticado. Ofrecerá un espacio de presentación específico digital para cada galería.
